Needed more seasoning! The chicken was crispy but a little bland. Some extra seasoning would have made a big difference.
Just had lunch at Google Grill. Never a bad choice. I had the Mediterranean salmon salad. It was good, lots of flavors. Spring salad mix with marinated olives, red potato, green beans, egg, tomato and of course Salmon(cooked perfect) and a vinaigrette dressing. The service was great as usual. I love the music sound tracks they pick. The tables are always set very nicely. It's always nice and clean also.
Let's get GROOVY at the Googie Grill! Jennie, the owner, is fabulous at making this place the GO-TO spot for locals, tourists, service men/women and everyone in between. Their food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the price is right. I got the Cobb salad and it was so good, filling and everything I could want in a dish without the guilt. What exactly are you waiting for? Check this place out - they are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! They are GOOGIE GOOD!
Great diner with solid food options. Got an order of beignets to start. The beignets were far from fluffy, and the blueberry rose jam is what stole the show. Coffee was expensive, and no one ever came by to offer a refill but then again we could've easily asked. My chai latte was delicious. Friend's egg Benedict was watery, as if they went straight from the pot to the plate - could use a quick dry before plating to avoid this. My "2 eggs your way" was great, although both the eggs and the googie potatoes lacked seasoning. Overall, I still recommend going here for a solid meal and decent service!
What a cute café in the area. We ordered a French dip and a veggie sandwich, and of course had the beignets. Everything was spectacular and the service was wonderful too. I also ordered a bloody Mary to wash it all down, which was fantastic. Definitely give this Grill a five star and would highly recommend it to anybody in the area or even those visiting Seaside. Lucky enough the owner came and greeted us and checked in several times to make sure the food and service were going well. That's what I'd like to see at a restaurant.
Traveling for work to Monterey and a coworker suggested this spot. We were seated right away by the manager named Ray. I'll tell you what....Ray is just fabulous in every way. I watched him just spending every second of his time catering to every table with the most incredible energy and enthusiasm. This man is just wonderful. If I ever opened a restaurant of my own....I would want him running it...nobody else....just Ray. I ordered the blackened Halibut with veggies and it was really good. My coworkers ordered Salmon and the other two ordered the meatloaf. All of us enjoyed our dishes but we were all mostly impressed with Ray. The man is just exceptional. We were comfortable and the place was clean. I will definitely go back to Googies when in town.
It's been 5 years since we visited this location but the quality of the food and service has not changed much. We went in on a Sunday morning and we were sat fairly quickly. Googies brought back lots of memories of 5 years ago so we spent some time taking pictures while waiting for our food. The kids food came quickly, pancakes with fresh fruit that they loved. I ordered the Googie Omelet that had smoked apple wood bacon, fresh avocado, and jack cheddar. The omelet was pretty good but I think the avocado would be better on top not cooked inside but I think that is just a personal like. My MIL and husband ordered Hailey's Comet Combo. The food was fresh when it came out and it did not take long. Service was quick with no hovering or delay on refills. This will continue to be a spot we stop at whenever in the area.
Good comfort food served here. I had the Fish and chips. They were good I just wish there was more. The fried fish was only three small pieces but was accompanied by a generous portion of delicious curly wedge fries and some Cole slaw. The waiter was friendly, the food was served quickly, and the dining room was comfortable. There is also patio dining if desired. Also, parking was easy to find in the small lot out front.
